FAQ's

Play the UK National Lotto and the new Euro Lottery called Euro Millions in a lottery syndicate and massively improve your odds of winning 2 of the biggest tax free, lump sum lotteries in the world.

When do I start playing?
As soon as your application is accepted and approved you will be informed of your e-Lottery numbers and entered into the next UK Lotto Game draw.  You will immediately receive confirmation of this via e-mail. Your membership card is then mailed to you.  If your application is submitted before 6.00pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) on the day of a Lotto Game draw your lottery numbers will be entered into the following Lotto Game draw.

How will I be notified of my winnings?
All winners are notified via email within hours of each draw.

Virtual World Direct checks all syndicate numbers and will list any winnings on your member statement.  The statement can be found in the members' area of your web site.  Winners of over £1,000.00 will be contacted by a member of our customer services team.  You can also check the winning numbers yourself.  The UK National Lotto publish their results on the Internet. The winning numbers for each draw are also listed on the Virtual World Direct web site, under Results & Winners.

How do I receive my winnings?
Winnings up to £500.00 are issued 7 working days of the date of the draw.  Payment is sent either your mailing address held on file or via PayPal.  Winnings over £1,000.00 are collected from the National Lottery and then issued to each syndicate member.  This process can take up to 14 working days.

How are syndicate winnings divided?
There are 49 members in each UK syndicate, 39 members in Euro Millions and all winnings are divided equally.

Do I have to find the other members to play in my syndicate?
No. Each syndicate is filled up by the next member to join and you play in a syndicate with other Virtual World Direct members from around the world.

Does a syndicate have to be full before the numbers are entered in to the lottery game draws?
No.
As soon as one player joins a new syndicate the numbers are entered in to the next draw, unless a new syndicate is created after 6.00pm on the night of a Lotto Game Draw.

Why is there an Entry Protection Deposit?
Virtual World Direct
sets up an entry protection deposit on behalf of the member.  The fund ensures each member has enough funds in their account to continue playing and still have a chance of winning, should there be a delay with future payments.

How Long do I play for, how do I cancel?
You can play for a long or as little as you like, there is no contracted time period.  If you wish to stop playing, simply send an email to admin@vwdmembersupport.com and include your membership number, name, address and you date of birth for security reasons and the reason you wish to play no longer.  You are deemed to have cancelled when Virtual World Direct Admin receives your notification and we will confirm this to you in an email by return.  Once removed from a syndicate you are no longer eligible for any winnings produced by that syndicate.

Are my credit card and personal details safe when given over the Internet?
Yes. This site uses state of the art encryption. All details sent from and to the site are encrypted ensuring all communication is secure.  Confidential and credit card information is not retained by the site.

What currency is used in processing my order?

What is a playing period?
A playing period is a four-week span.  Your first playing period begins the day you join an e-Lottery syndicate.  For example, if you began playing on the 1st of May, your first playing period would last 28 days ending on the 28th of May.  Then on the 29th of May your second playing period would begin ending on the 25th of June.

If I give my member number to anyone wanting to view my guest site can they access my personal information?
No! If you give your number to somebody to view your site they will only be able to see certain areas.  All your personal information: genealogy, member details, statement etc. are protected within an encrypted area of the web site. Only members can access this part by entering their membership number and password.

How can I change my personal details?
Members can change all their details in the members' area of their web site. Simply click on member details and then click on submit at the bottom of the page when the relevant changes have been made.

How do I become a member?
It's easy. You can access our on-line application forms by clicking on the become a member link. Then simply follow the steps on the membership form.

How do I receive commissions and in what currency are they issued?
Commissions are calculated at the end of a four-week business cycle.  A £ pound sterling cheque is issued and posted to your address.  Because of the costs involved we do not issue cheques for amounts under £10.00.  When your account has a balance of more than £10.00 a payment will be made.  If you are an overseas player the cost of banking international cheques can be high, therefore, members may, if they wish, increase their minimum payment limit.

How do I increase my minimum payment limit?
Go to the members' area of your web site and click on member details.  Then find the minimum payment limit section.  Once you have changed the limit click on the submit button at the bottom of the page.

What is a four - week business cycle?
Commission's are calculated every four weeks at the end of a standard business month.

Why is there an account fee?
In order to keep the initial membership fee as low as possible we charge an account-keeping fee of £1.50 when issuing a cheque.

Can I sign up players from other countries?
Yes!
Sign up anyone using your web site.  They, in turn, can introduce other players from around the world.
