Winning the lottery really is a numbers game and that means – more entries gives you more chances of winning.  There is a limit though to how many entries a sane person can afford to risk every week.  However the fact remains, if you play multiple tickets in one draw you stand a better chance of winning than playing 1 ticket for multiple weeks.  That’s why playing in a syndicate gives you a much better chance of winning the lottery – because it’s an affordable way to play multiple tickets in each draw.  So what do people find appealing about playing in syndicates?  For many, it’s the excitement of winning as much as the value of the prize itself – (well, for the smaller amounts anyway).
